Terms of service

Conditions governing use of this website, membership of the association, and the tenancy of garden plots.

01Use of this website

This website is published by the association for information purposes. Content may be quoted with attribution. Photographs of members are published with their consent and may not be reproduced commercially. We make every effort to keep information accurate but accept no liability for decisions taken solely on the basis of horticultural advice published here — soil, weather and local conditions vary.

02Enquiries and forms

Submitting the enquiry form does not create membership, reserve a plot or establish any contractual relationship. Applications are recorded in the order received and confirmed in writing by the secretary.

03Membership

Membership is open to any natural person aged 15 or over. It begins upon approval by the executive committee and payment of the annual contribution, and continues until resigned in writing or terminated by the members' assembly for serious breach of these rules. The annual contribution is set each year by the assembly and is non-refundable in part.

04Garden plot rules

A plot must be kept cultivated and free of weeds going to seed. Structures require the written consent of the executive committee and must comply with the colony's size limits. Synthetic pesticides are prohibited on communal land. Water may not be drawn for filling pools. Waste must be composted or removed; burning is prohibited. Dogs must be kept on the member's own plot. Quiet hours apply on Sundays and public holidays. Repeated breach, or leaving a plot uncultivated for two consecutive seasons, is grounds for withdrawal of the plot.

05Fees

Contributions cover water consumption, communal upkeep, waste removal and the infrastructure reserve. Rates are published at the annual assembly and posted at the gate house. Late payment beyond 60 days may result in suspension of water access.

06Liability

Members garden at their own risk. The association maintains communal infrastructure with reasonable care but is not liable for damage to personal property, crops or structures caused by weather, theft or the acts of third parties.

07Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are resolved first by the supervisory commission, then by the members' assembly, and only thereafter by the competent Czech courts.
