Membership records: name, village, household, contact details, dues paid, and the grazing or firewood entitlement attached to the household.

Volunteer records: name, contact details, availability, and any medical information you choose to disclose for safety on the slope.

Correspondence: the content of messages you send us and the contact details you send them from.

Donor records: name, contact details, amount and date of contribution, and any sponsorship designation, as required for our accounts.

Website use: this site does not use advertising or profiling cookies. We do not operate third-party tracking or analytics scripts on these pages.

Performance of membership and grazing agreements, and steps taken at your request before entering them.

Compliance with legal obligations, including accounting, tax and non-profit reporting duties under Albanian law.

Legitimate interests in running the association, corresponding with supporters and organising field work, balanced against your rights.

Consent, where you have given it — for example to receive our occasional newsletter. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed to our accountant and external accounting reviewer, to the competent Albanian authorities where legally required, and to a donor only in aggregate or anonymised form unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

Where a grant agreement requires participant reporting, we tell participants in advance what will be reported and to whom.

Membership and grazing records: for the duration of membership and ten years thereafter, as required for land-use and accounting continuity.

Donation and accounting records: ten years, as required by Albanian accounting and tax legislation.

Volunteer and correspondence records: three years from last contact, unless a longer period is required for a specific project.

Photographs from field days: retained for archive and reporting purposes; we remove any individual on request.

You have the right to access your data, to correct inaccurate data, to request erasure where no legal retention duty applies, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability where applicable, and to withdraw consent.

Membership and financial records are held in access-restricted files with the executive committee and the association's accountant. Digital records are held in password-protected accounts limited to officers who need them. We report any personal data breach likely to affect your rights to the competent authority and to you without undue delay.

School programmes involve minors. We collect only the minimum information needed for safety and consent, always through the school and with written parental consent, and we do not publish identifiable images of minors without that consent.
